Mission Trips & Retreats

Resurrection House is a program to rebuild homes in the New Orleans area. Resurrection House will solicit skilled and unskilled volunteers from around the country and the world to stay in a dormitory type setting while rebuilding neighborhoods one home at a time. 

The initial focus will be rebuilding for the elderly, handicapped, the disabled and single parents In the adjoining neighborhood of Broadmoor.  Resurrection House is run by the Free Church of the Annunciation, an Episcopal Church in New Orleans since 1854.

 
The University of the South is located at Sewanee, Tennessee, atop the Cumberland Plateau and approximately fifty miles from Chattanooga.  Sewanee’s 10,000-acre campus, known as the Domain, is an excellent place to visit for lectures, theater performances and evensong services sung but the University Choir. 

Grace Point is a retreat center located jus outside Kingston, TN on the Tennessee River and is operated by the Diocese of East Tennessee.  The mission of Grace Point Camp and Retreat Center is to be a Christian environment in which children and adults are renewed and transformed by encountering God in a beautiful place set apart, as well as through relationships that foster spiritual growth and a sense of responsibility to be good stewards of God's creation.

St. Mary's Sewanee: A Center for Spiritual Development is located in Sewanee, TN and rests on 120 wooded and landscaped acres with a magnificent bluff view.  Grounded in the tradition of the Episcopal Church, our mission of spiritual hospitality extends to persons of diverse religious backgrounds.  We provide a sacred space for church groups and organizations bringing their own programs, as well as provide spiritually enriching programs for individuals.
