The 26th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee
Friday, February 12 through Saturday, February 13 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Knoxville.

The 26th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee will convene in Knoxville Friday, February 12 through Saturday, February 13, 2010. Ascension, Knoxville, Good Shepherd, Knoxville and St. Thomas, Knoxville are the co-hosting churches of the diocesan convention which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Knoxville – a change of venue from The Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, where it has taken place for past three years.

The theme for the 2010 Convention of the Diocese of East Tennessee is “Abundance in Scarcity.” With the impact of today’s economic recession being felt so severely by many in our midst, we need to be reminded that the abundance of God’s love for us transcends the market economy. The feeding of the multitudes, as recorded in Mark’s Gospel, shows us that, through Christ, we can take a few loves of bread and a few fish, bless them, break them and share with thousands.

For more information visit the 26th Diocesan Convention web page.
