The mission of the
Episcopal Metropolitan Ministry is to receive with
dignity and respect all who come to us by providing the
emotional, spiritual and physical help needed. We
offer them the opportunity to gain a deeper faith in
themselves, their God and in hope for their future as
independent, contributing members of the community. |
ECSET's first ministry, St.
Barnabas Nursing Home was built in 1965 providing a new model
for quality senior healthcare as the area's first
independent mission-based, non-profit provider. Today
St. Barnabas Senior Living Services
continues to build upon it's tradition
of excellence, opening a new nursing facility on the
campus of Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation. |
The
ECSET
board is comprised of twelve elected lay and clergy
representatives with the support of the
Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee.
Members are
elected to serve a three year term, however, there are also
non-voting, ex-officio members who serve a support role. |
